JAPAN: BRIGHT New Single: Kotoba ni Dekinakute - Shining Butterfly

BRIGHT is a Girl Pop band which consists 4 members: Mizuki Inoue, Nanaka Kobayashi, Nagisa Shigemura and Megumi Nakaya. All 4 girls are under the avex trax and rhythm zone label and graduated from Caless vocal and dance school in Osaka. They “originally” formed in 2001 while they were still in school but it wasn’t until 2006 when Rhythm Zone (subsidary of Avex) decided to add them to their roster. The girls list their genres as “R&B/gospel” since “that were the genres that they liked singing best” but really, their music is more pop with a slight r&b flavor.

BRIGHT has already released two albums and four major singles. They are known for their melodic/ r&b songs like Brightest Star, Tegami ft. K and Sora Iro. Now they released another single entitled "Kotoba ni Dekinakute - Shining Butterfly". The first song Kotoba ni Dekinakute is slow melodic song while Shining Butterfly is a very upbeat r&b dance song. Like their first released singles, they also did a remake in this single which is "You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman)" by Aritha Franklin.

Overall:
As of the moment, I think BRIGHT is the BEST girl band I've seen in JPOP music history, talent-wise. All of the members are total performers. By total performer, I mean they can sing (obviusly) and dance very well unlike other girl groups in Japan who focuses more in Image rather than talent. They aren't that popular yet in Japan since they only rank thirties in album charts. But still, I think these girls will surely hit anytime soon.

Kotoba ni Dekinakute is the best single they released since Brightest Star. Some of the other songs are catchy but a bit average.
