Korean Boy Band Big Bang released a Japanese version of their single "Heaven" which is now entitled "My Heaven". It has been reported that the group is now in Japan preparing for their release. Big Bang's new single will be their first album under Universal Records Japan. Big Bang has been taking a long break in South Korea and for the second half of 2009, they'll focus more on the Japanese market.
On June 24th, Big Bang will release three versions of a single album with one of the versions containing some DVD footage.

The third week of May, 2009 has been very surprising. Why, because Wonder Girls' songs are playing in one of the largest TV networks in the Philippines which is GMA7. The Sexbomb dancers performed WG's So Hot as their dance introduction for a segment called "Kakaibang Bida" (Odd/ Unique Talents) in their popular Variety Show Eat Bulaga on May 18,2009. I've already read a lot of comments on their performance and most of them said that they should have used the original dance steps. But in my opinion, Sexbomb dancers just gave their own flavor for the song.

Wonder Girls - So Hot
Another song of Wonder Girls was performed last May 24, 2009. SOP, another variety/concert show of GMA made their own version/ parody of WG's Nobody. It was performed by a bunch of guys dressed up to look like WG which includes Moymoypalaboy (the duo who was great in Lipsynching and has become an internet sensation), Aljur Abrenica, Mart Escudero and Miggy Eugenio.
BRIGHT is a Girl Pop band which consists 4 members: Mizuki Inoue, Nanaka Kobayashi, Nagisa Shigemura and Megumi Nakaya. All 4 girls are under the avex trax and rhythm zone label and graduated from Caless vocal and dance school in Osaka. They “originally” formed in 2001 while they were still in school but it wasn’t until 2006 when Rhythm Zone (subsidary of Avex) decided to add them to their roster. The girls list their genres as “R&B/gospel” since “that were the genres that they liked singing best” but really, their music is more pop with a slight r&b flavor.
BRIGHT has already released two albums and four major singles. They are known for their melodic/ r&b songs like Brightest Star, Tegami ft. K and Sora Iro. Now they released another single entitled "Kotoba ni Dekinakute - Shining Butterfly". The first song Kotoba ni Dekinakute is slow melodic song while Shining Butterfly is a very upbeat r&b dance song. Like their first released singles, they also did a remake in this single which is "You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman)" by Aritha Franklin.

Overall: As of the moment, I think BRIGHT is the BEST girl band I've seen in JPOP music history, talent-wise. All of the members are total performers. By total performer, I mean they can sing (obviusly) and dance very well unlike other girl groups in Japan who focuses more in Image rather than talent. They aren't that popular yet in Japan since they only rank thirties in album charts. But still, I think these girls will surely hit anytime soon.
Kotoba ni Dekinakute is the best single they released since Brightest Star. Some of the other songs are catchy but a bit average.

“F4 After Story” will again tell the myth of the four people, F4 and their story will be told in a music drama format. They have aired the Kim Bum & Kim Joon’s part on April 28, 2009. Sadly, the videos are 90% recycles from the drama itself. Good thing though, we'll all hear them sing.
First up is the story of the playboy So Yi Jung. This episode was kinda great from introduction to Yi Jung taking photos of himself for the lavender colored flowers. The worst part was when she gave the bouquet to "Ga Eul". I kinda wish that they used the real one or atleast her voice. Kim Beom was the one who sings in this video. The title of the song is"I'm going to meet you now".

The second Episode was the story of Song Woo Bin which was played by Kim Joon. This episode gave us some more of Woo Bin because in BOF he wasn't given a good story plot. Woo Bin's After story circled on his relationship with a girl that dumped him. Kim Joon's song is "Emptying".

MNET has finally released the remaining "F4 After 5 Years" music dramas.
Seriously. This is what we've been waiting for. Episode 3 and 4 of F4 After Story Music Drama. These episodes were supposed to be released on May 05, 2009 but was delayed until May 19, 2009. Unfortunately, these episodes aren't subbed yet. We still have to wait for our generous fan subbers to translate these.
I think Kim Hyun Joong didn't have time shooting scenes for this Music Drama special because 90% of episode 3 are just flashbacks. And to think that this is a "5 years after story", I think Ji Hoo hasn't moved on yet from her love for Jan Di and still thinking of the time they spent together. SS501 sang this episode's theme song which is "Someday".

Jun Pyo's episode was kinda cute because he was making Jan Di Chocolate biscuits. You'll see Woo Bin in this episode to. Which means, maybe Kim Joon and Lee Min Ho had plenty of time shooting for this music drama. Lee Min Ho sang this episode's theme son just like what Kim Bum and Kim Joon did.

Pinoy Dream Academy finalists Amy Nobleza, 6 years old, and Philip Nolasco, 8 years old, performed on April 24, 2009for 115th episode of Star King in SBS South Korea which was aired on May 02, 2009. Many people expected Amy and Philip to "wow" the audience of SK just like what Charice did when she got invited for the same show.

Can't get enough of F4 Korea huh? Well, guess what. The foursome group released another special edition cd which contains songs by each of the F4 members. F4 Korea includes Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon.
As we all know, singing won't be a problem for Kim Joon (T-Max) and Kim Hyun Joong (SS501) but what about Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum? I haven't heard them sing since then. Actually they all did great on their songs. After hearing each of their songs, I kinda missed Boys Over Flowers. Good Job for Kim Joon and Kim Hyun Joong, great voice for Kim Bum and Lee Min Ho even though i think they can't sing well they did great.

2NE1 (21st Century New Evolution) is the Female version of Big Bang and the newest group handled by YG Entertainment. The group consists of Sandara Park, Gong MinJi, Park Bom, and Chae Rim (CL).
“Female Big Bang” 2NE1 and Big Bang’s “Lollipop” has been sweeping the korean music hit charts for #1. Released on March 27 to the public, it has won the top spot on music portals Dosirak, Mnet, Bugs, and Cyworld.
Netizens are finding some "plagiarism" on their latest single Fire but failed to do so because what they got was that 2NE1's Space version of their Fire MV has same scenes with another artist's MV but still that was because of the production staff.
2NE1 debuted on May 06, 2009 with their latest song Fire which also climbed music charts and landed on #5 slot and also ranked #1 as the most downloaded music in Korea. Their stage debut was on May 17, 2009 at SBS Inkigayo. Netizens also commented that 2NE1's stage debut was great because they lived up yo their theme which is hip hop and they were just awesome.
